Woman ordered 5 men she has romantic relationships with to kidnap, torture 26-year-old man, police say

Six individuals have been charged in connection with the kidnapping and torture of a 26-year-old man in Maumee, Ohio, according to police reports. The victim was allegedly abducted on March 14 and was held against his will at a Red Roof Inn for more than a week, during which he endured severe abuse.
Police Chief Josh Sprow detailed the horrific treatment the victim faced, including beatings with a baseball bat, prolonged standing, and limited food and water, which led to him only sleeping about ten hours over the week. He sustained multiple fractures and various injuries as a result of this abuse. The situation came to light when the victim was briefly allowed to leave the room to visit a convenience store, where he contacted someone who then alerted his mother.
After his mother arrived at the hotel, Maumee police were called and began monitoring the location. The authorities arrested the six suspects shortly thereafter. Fortunately, the victim was taken to a hospital and is expected to survive, despite his severe injuries.
The suspects include one woman, Martina Jones, and five men, whose ages range from 23 to 49. Investigations suggest that Jones was the primary instigator of the kidnapping and assault, instructing the men to inflict harm on the victim. It's reported that she has romantic ties with all five male suspects and shares children with them, making the dynamics of the case particularly unusual.
The suspects were arraigned in Toledo, where a judge set their bonds at $200,000 each. They have been indicted by a grand jury on multiple charges, including kidnapping, felonious assault, and tampering with evidence. Authorities are still investigating the potential motive behind the kidnapping and whether the victim had any prior connection to the suspects.
