AURORA, Colo. -- The Aurora Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that appears to have resulted from a domestic violence incident. The shooting occurred around 9:15 a.m. on Friday in the 10700 block of E. Exposition Avenue, prompting the response of the Major Crime Homicide Unit.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a 41-year-old man with a gunshot wound. Despite efforts to save him before paramedics arrived, he was later pronounced dead at the hospital. His identity has not yet been released. Alongside him, a 37-year-old woman was also transported to the hospital with minor injuries and is currently being held for questioning.

Authorities believe the incident may be linked to domestic violence, but details are still emerging as the investigation remains active. So far, no arrests have been made, and police have confirmed there are no outstanding suspects.
