Authorities seek man accidentally released from Scotts Bluff County Jail

ALLIANCE, Neb. (KNOP) - Authorities are actively searching for Harley Salway III, a man who was mistakenly released from jail this week. Salway was facing serious charges, including first-degree sexual assault, false imprisonment, and a weapon's charge, while being held at the Scotts Bluff County Detention Center.
The Box Butte County Sheriff's Office provided details about the accidental release through a Facebook statement, outlining the circumstances that led to this error. As law enforcement continues their efforts to locate him, they are urging the community to assist in the search.
Salway is described as a 6'1", gray-haired white male with hazel eyes and weighing approximately 165 lbs. Authorities believe he may still be in the Panhandle region.
