8-year-old boy found dead in Saratoga Springs home, 43-year-old mother in critical condition | Gephardt Daily

SARATOGA SPRINGS, Utah, March 28, 2025 (Gephardt Daily) - In a tragic incident, police found an eight-year-old boy deceased and his 43-year-old mother in critical condition at their home in Saratoga Springs on Friday. Authorities were alerted by a 17-year-old girl who reported finding her mother and brother unconscious.

Officers responded to the scene on Willowbrook Lane around 10:12 a.m. Upon arrival, they discovered the child had already passed away while the mother was urgently transported to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center, where she remained in extremely critical condition later that afternoon.

Details about the nature of the injuries sustained by both the mother and the child have not yet been released, and investigations into the circumstances surrounding their condition are ongoing. A 15-year-old boy was also present in the home when police arrived; he lives with his mother and siblings.
