Drone finds man wanted for felony, other charges in Lumberton woods

A wanted man, identified as Vance Pate, was apprehended by authorities in a wooded area near Lumberton, North Carolina, on Friday morning. The Robeson County Sheriff's Office reported that Pate had been eluding law enforcement for several weeks prior to his arrest.
Law enforcement discovered Pate hiding in a tent situated off Old 74, near the local farmers market. His evasion of capture ended when officers located him in this secluded area.
Pate faces multiple charges, including felony breaking and entering, financial card fraud, and issues related to child support, among others. His lengthy list of offenses prompted heightened efforts to locate him.
Following his arrest, Pate was booked into the Robeson County Detention Center. He is currently being held on a bond of $10,000.
