Woman arrested for DUI and crashing into neighbor's garage

A woman named Sheila Frandsen, 53, was taken into police custody in North Ogden after allegedly driving under the influence and crashing her vehicle into a neighbor's garage, resulting in an estimated $30,000 in damages. The incident occurred on Tuesday evening, prompting the North Ogden Police Department to respond after receiving reports from her brother and boyfriend about her driving.
Frandsen was reportedly driving a black Honda Accord with a flat tire at the time of the incident. Officers initiated a search for her but were unable to locate her car in the area near her residence. One officer, Riley Blackham, returned to Frandsen's home and waited for her to arrive, during which time a neighbor informed him of the damage to his garage and indicated that a damaged dark sedan was parked behind Frandsen's residence.
Upon inspecting the vehicle, Officer Blackham identified it as a 2002 Honda Accord, which was registered to Frandsen. The car displayed damage that corresponded with the neighbor's garage damage. Despite attempts to reach Frandsen by knocking on her doors, the officer received no response, prompting the need for a search warrant.
After obtaining the warrant, Blackham found Frandsen in her bedroom, where he discovered a half-empty bottle of vodka and a prescription bottle of alprazolam, or Xanax, with no name on it. Frandsen appeared intoxicated and confessed to consuming both alcohol and Xanax before crashing into her neighbor's garage.
Frandsen was arrested on several charges, including property damage and driving under the influence. Furthermore, she refused to comply with a blood test requested by officers as part of the DUI investigation. She now faces multiple legal issues as a result of her actions.
