Four individuals have been charged with organized retail theft connected to Greer's Cash Saver in Semmes, according to the Mobile County Sheriff's Office (MCSO). The investigation commenced on Thursday, focusing on the theft of various meat products from the grocery store.

MCSO officials revealed that interviews with multiple employees led to discoveries surrounding the thefts. Employees, along with their friends and family, were reportedly purchasing items such as chicken, ground beef, bacon, and steaks at significantly discounted prices.

Authorities noted that the meat department manager was allegedly involved in the scheme, creating fake price tags that reflected lower prices than what the items actually cost. This fraudulent practice contributed to the store's significant losses.

The individuals arrested in connection with the case are Ernest Ray Gray, Roland Alphonse Taylor, Jo Ann Mosley, and Latonya Harris. The investigations indicate that the total loss for the store has exceeded $2,700 due to these dishonest activities.

The MCSO has stated that the investigation is still ongoing and encourages anyone with further information to reach out to them at 251-574-8633 or submit tips anonymously.
