A 19-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an armed carjacking that took place in January at a gas station on New Jersey Avenue in Northwest Washington, DC. The incident occurred on January 23 at approximately 8:24 p.m. when the victim was filling up their vehicle.

According to police reports, three suspects approached the victim, assaulted them, and brandished a firearm while demanding personal belongings and the victim's car. The victim complied with the demands, and the suspects fled the scene in the stolen vehicle.

Following an extensive investigation by law enforcement, Marquis Alston, a resident of Northeast DC, was arrested on Thursday. He now faces charges of Armed Carjacking, with the arrest coming more than two months after the initial crime.

Authorities are still investigating the incident and are actively seeking the additional suspects involved in the carjacking. The case underscores the continuing concern over violent crimes in the area.
