Aurora Police Probe Fatal Shooting Linked to Potential Domestic Violence Case - Internewscast Journal

AURORA, Colo. -- The Aurora Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting believed to be linked to a possible domestic violence incident. The Major Crime Homicide Unit initiated their inquiry around 9:15 a.m. on Friday after responding to an emergency call in the 10700 block of E. Exposition Avenue.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a 41-year-old man from Aurora suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite the urgent efforts to save him before paramedics could arrive, he was later pronounced dead at the hospital. His identity has not yet been released.
In connection with the incident, a 37-year-old woman from Aurora also sustained minor injuries and was taken to the hospital. She is currently being detained for questioning, although her identity remains undisclosed. Authorities have stated that there are no outstanding suspects related to the case.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the shooting may have originated from a domestic violence situation. As the investigation continues, no arrests have been made at this time.
