AR-style rifles, loaded mags seized in Baltimore gun arrest after shots fired

BALTIMORE, MD -- Officers responded to a shooting in the Northern District, leading to the arrest of two suspects and the discovery of a significant arsenal, including AR-style rifles and extended magazines. The incident was reported just before 1 p.m. on Tuesday at the 2400 block of West Cold Spring Lane, where police found a vehicle with bullet hole damage and collected shell casings.
The investigation, carried out by Northern Patrol officers and detectives from the Baltimore City Intelligence Center, identified a 27-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman as suspects. They were arrested and taken to the Central Booking Intake Facility for processing.
Following the arrests, authorities executed a search warrant at the suspects' residence and vehicle, uncovering a sizable cache of firearms and ammunition. Among the items seized were a Colt .22 caliber AR-style firearm with a 30-round extended magazine and a Bushmaster XM15-E2S AR-15 rifle loaded with .223 rounds.
In addition to the rifles, police recovered several high-capacity magazines, loose ammunition, two laser sights, a Glock-style BB gun, and a 50-round box of 9mm ammunition. Fortunately, no injuries were reported from the initial gunfire incident.
The successful operation highlights the ongoing efforts of law enforcement in addressing gun violence and illegal firearms in the community.
