One person was injured in a shooting that occurred Friday evening in Raleigh, North Carolina. The incident took place in the 5900 block of Applewood Lane around 8:45 p.m., prompting police to respond to reports of the shooting.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was subsequently transported to the hospital, where his injuries were deemed non-life-threatening.

In connection with the shooting, 31-year-old Brittany Jeanne Dixon was arrested. Raleigh police charged her with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.
