Man shot, killed in southeast Atlanta, police say

A man was shot and killed in southeast Atlanta late Friday night, as confirmed by local police. The incident occurred around 11:50 p.m. at 1676 Lakewood Avenue SE.

Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim suffering from gunshot wounds to his leg. He was promptly transported to Grady Memorial Hospital but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries there.
