CSPD: Woman arrested for trying to set house on fire with disabled boyfriend inside

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - A woman has been arrested for allegedly attempting to set a house ablaze while her disabled boyfriend remained inside. This incident, which occurred on Friday night, prompted a response from local authorities, including the Colorado Springs Fire Department.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the flames and transported one individual to the hospital. The situation escalated when police received a call around 5:38 p.m. about a woman wielding a large knife who might have started the fire.
Upon arrival at the scene on the southwest side of Colorado Springs, officers witnessed Lisa Steele igniting items inside the residence. Reports indicate that she subsequently threatened the responding police officers.
Following the confrontation, Steele was taken into custody without further incident. She now faces serious charges, including first-degree arson, felony menacing, and attempted murder.
