2 recovering from shooting near Winchester, Millbranch Rd.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Two individuals are recovering following a shooting incident that occurred early Saturday morning. Law enforcement responded to reports of gunfire at approximately 12:50 a.m. near the intersection of Winchester and Millbranch Road.
The shooting involved five people who were inside a white 2010 Dodge Caliber. According to police, the occupants came under fire from unidentified suspects in a silver vehicle. In an attempt to escape the gunfire, the driver fled the scene but had to stop near I-240 North and South Parkway East, prompting the group to seek assistance.
Officers arrived on the scene and observed multiple bullet holes in the Dodge Caliber. Additionally, a firearm was recovered at the site of the incident. The police are now investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
The two victims who sustained injuries were promptly transported to Regional One Hospital. Fortunately, they are now reported to be in non-critical condition as they continue their recovery.
Authorities have not yet made any arrests in connection to the shooting incident and are continuing their investigation to identify the suspects involved.
