Lincoln County – A man has been arrested on multiple counts of child sexual abuse following a significant investigation by the New Mexico State Police (NMSP) Investigations Bureau that began in early 2024. The suspect, identified as 23-year-old Devin Henderson from Ruidoso, is linked to a disturbing series of incidents reported at the Mountain View Christian Academy.

On December 11, 2024, NMSP agents were alerted to numerous alleged cases of criminal sexual contact involving children at the academy. Testimonies from eight children, all aged 10 and under, revealed that Henderson had inappropriately touched them repeatedly during his computer class sessions. Additionally, investigators discovered that he had shown explicit photographs of himself to the children via his cell phone.

The investigation was extensive, involving forensic interviews of the victims and several search warrants executed in collaboration with the New Mexico Attorney General's Office - Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit and the NMSP Uniform Bureau. This thorough approach was essential in compiling evidence against Henderson.

An arrest warrant for Henderson was issued on March 27, 2025. He was subsequently apprehended by NMSP Investigation Bureau agents and officers in Ruidoso without incident on the same day. Henderson had been employed at the Mountain View Christian Academy since January 2023, but was placed on administrative leave as soon as the allegations surfaced, leading to his termination.

Henderson now faces multiple charges related to the abuse of these children, highlighting serious concerns about the safety of minors in educational settings. The case underscores the importance of vigilant monitoring and prompt action when allegations of this nature arise.
