The Grand Junction Police Department has made two arrests in connection with vandalism at Colorado Mesa University (CMU). On March 17, officers responded to reports of "anti-government" graffiti found spray-painted across the campus, with messages including one that expressed contempt for the agency ICE.

The arrested individuals, 24-year-old Elizabeth Natsu and 24-year-old Jesse Mason, face charges of felony criminal mischief. Notably, Natsu is currently a student at CMU, while Mason is not enrolled.

In a court appearance following their arrest, both suspects had their bonds set at $2,000. As a condition of his release, Mason is prohibited from entering the CMU campus.

The two are scheduled to return to court on April 17 at 8:30 a.m. for further proceedings.

The case has highlighted concerns regarding campus safety and the impact of vandalism on the university community.
