Rapper Young Scooter dies after suffering leg injury fleeing from Atlanta police officers

ATLANTA -- Kenneth Edward Rashaad Bailey, also known as rapper Young Scooter, died from a leg injury sustained while fleeing from police on Friday evening, according to Atlanta Police. The Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office is still investigating the cause of death.
Police were dispatched in response to reports of a dispute and possible gunfire in an Atlanta home. When officers arrived, Bailey attempted to flee the scene, resulting in a brief foot chase before police found him injured.
Despite no weapons being fired during the incident, officers quickly provided medical assistance, applying a tourniquet before transporting him to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
The homicide unit, along with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, has initiated an investigation to clarify the circumstances surrounding Bailey's death.
This situation has raised concerns about police responses to incidents involving potential firearms, and further inquiry is expected to shed light on the events that transpired.
