ATLANTA -- A man has died following a leg injury sustained while fleeing from police on Friday evening, according to Atlanta Police. The deceased was identified as Kenneth Edward Rashaad Bailey, also known by his stage name, Young Scooter. The exact cause of death remains undetermined.

Police were responding to reports of a dispute at a residence in Atlanta, where gunshots were allegedly fired. In the course of their response, Bailey attempted to escape, leading to a brief foot chase with officers.

After the chase, police found Bailey injured with a leg injury, though no weapons were fired during the incident. Officers provided immediate assistance by applying a tourniquet before he was transported to a hospital.
