Troopers: Nicholas County man for child porn charges following home daycare investigation

A Nicholas County man, Ralph E. Zangari, 63, was arrested on child pornography charges after authorities investigated allegations of abuse linked to a local home daycare. The West Virginia State Police received a tip from Child Protective Services in February concerning possible child sexual abuse at Linda Zangari's Home Daycare in Craigsville.
During the investigation, officials discovered four explicit images of children stored on Zangari's phone. As a result, he was charged with four counts of possession of child pornography. Following his arraignment by the Nicholas County Magistrate, Zangari was released on bond.
The investigation is still ongoing, and this incident highlights a disturbing trend. It follows another recent case in South Charleston, where two individuals were arrested for child sexual abuse and possession of child pornography at a home daycare.
Authorities are continuing to examine the situation closely to ensure the safety of children and determine the full scope of any potential harm. The community remains vigilant as these investigations unfold.
These incidents at home daycares underscore the critical need for thorough oversight and swift action to protect vulnerable children from abuse.
