Man injured after argument leads to shooting at Midtown Airbnb, police say

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - A shooting incident occurred early Saturday morning at a Midtown Airbnb, resulting in injuries to one man, as reported by the Memphis Police Department. Officers were dispatched to a shooting on Clarke Place shortly after 2:20 a.m. following a neighbor’s report of a loud argument followed by gunfire.
Witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots and observed four individuals fleeing the scene in a silver vehicle, suspected to be a Nissan Altima or Maxima. The group drove to the intersection of Court Avenue and Clarke Place, continuing to fire shots before driving away.
Upon their arrival at the scene, officers discovered numerous bullet holes and spent casings both inside and outside the residence. Blood was also found on the bathroom floor, indicating the severity of the incident. Despite thorough checks, no victims were located within the home.
Later, law enforcement learned that a victim had been taken to a local hospital. The injured man recounted being struck in the left arm during the shooting, which ensued after the argument escalated among guests at the Airbnb.
At this time, police have not released any further information regarding suspects involved in the incident. The investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to uncover more details surrounding the shooting.
