A 43-year-old man from Cohoes, William A. Stanley, has been arrested following an alleged assault in Halfmoon. The Saratoga County Sheriff's Office responded to a call about the incident on March 26, 2025, on Crescent Vischer Ferry Road.

During the investigation, authorities discovered that Stanley faces multiple charges, including reckless endangerment in the 2nd degree, reckless driving, harassment in the 2nd degree, and operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver's license. He is also charged with failing to obey a flag person directing traffic.

Stanley allegedly acted recklessly by not following the flag person's lawful directions, which created a substantial risk of serious physical injury to others. Furthermore, he is accused of striking the flag person on the shoulder during the altercation.

After his arrest, Stanley was released on appearance tickets. He is scheduled to appear in the Halfmoon Town Court for further proceedings regarding the charges against him.
