LAS VEGAS -- The wife of "Ghost Adventures" star Aaron Goodwin faced court this week after being charged with plotting his murder. Victoria Goodwin was arrested earlier this month on accusations of solicitation to commit murder and conspiracy, stemming from a "murder for hire" scheme in which her husband was the intended victim.

The 30-year-old Victoria Goodwin was taken into custody on March 6 in Nevada and is currently being held on $100,000 bail following an initial court hearing. A police report indicated that she had coordinated with an inmate in Florida, allegedly setting aside $11,000 for the execution of the crime, which included plans for an initial payment of $2,500.

Text messages exchanged between Victoria and the inmate suggest she was actively conspiring to have her husband killed rather than seeking a divorce, as she believed he would not accept it. The messages reportedly included details about Aaron's whereabouts and raised her moral concerns about wanting to "end his existence."

Victoria claimed she began communicating with the inmate after being exposed to him through a true crime documentary, eventually escalating to text message exchanges. Following her arrest, she denied wanting her husband harmed but acknowledged feeling lonely during a difficult time in her marriage.

In a surprising turn of events, Aaron Goodwin has since filed for divorce following the incident. The couple, who married in 2022, will have a status check in court set for April 8 as the legal proceedings continue.
