Twisted Tea terror: Saw-swinging Stafford man jailed after boozy brawl with roommate

A Stafford man was arrested on Thursday evening following a drunken altercation in which he allegedly attacked his roommate with a handsaw. Michael Jones, 37, was apprehended by the Stafford County Sheriff's Office after reports of an intoxicated individual threatening others with the weapon on Cabell Road.
When Deputy K.W. Suter arrived around 7:15 p.m., Jones was found without the saw but was reportedly holding a can of Twisted Tea and acting aggressively. He was swiftly detained for his behavior.
According to the victim, what began as a verbal argument escalated into an assault involving the handsaw. Authorities confirmed that the victim sustained minor injuries from the incident.
In light of the events, Jones faces several charges, including malicious wounding, assault and battery, and public intoxication. He is currently being held at Rappahannock Regional Jail with a secured bond set at $5,000.
