FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WTVD) -- Natisha Webb's relationship with her nephew Laquarius Dove was deeply familial, as she regarded him more as a son. Describing the 28-year-old, she expressed that he was loved by everyone and had no enemies, saying, "He stole their hearts." However, her emotions turned into a tumultuous mix of anger and disappointment after a tragic event changed everything.

Laquarius, a dedicated father of three and loving husband, worked as a technician for Mercedes-Benz and commuted weekly to Alabama for his job. Earlier this month, as he was returning home, an unimaginable tragedy struck. Webb recalls receiving a devastating phone call, struggling to grasp the reality of the news that her nephew had been shot.

On March 8, Cumberland County deputies found Dove in his car suffering from a gunshot wound, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. This heart-wrenching event unfolded mere steps from his home, leaving Webb and her family in anguish as they attempted to process the senseless violence.

Reflecting on the situation, Webb described the person responsible as "truly evil" and unnecessary in their actions, emphasizing the loss of Laquarius's bright future and dreams. As investigators continue to search for clues, Webb and her family seek justice for their beloved Laquarius.

In this time of grief, the family cherishes their memories of him, mourning not just the loss of a life but of a father, husband, son, and brother. "They took away a beautiful person," Webb poignantly stated, highlighting the profound impact Dove had on those who loved him.
