3 injured in North Charleston incident outside illegal club

An altercation outside an illegal club on Comstock Avenue in North Charleston, SC, resulted in injuries to three individuals on March 23. The incident occurred early in the morning, leading to two pedestrians being struck by a vehicle and another person sustaining a gunshot injury.
Makajah Zhane-Asharea Miller, a 20-year-old from Wadmalaw, is facing multiple charges, including three counts of assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature. Upon the North Charleston Police's arrival at approximately 3:22 a.m., they found a 22-year-old woman lying on the street with a severe ankle injury, believed to be a possible compound fracture.
Witnesses reported that the situation escalated when Miller, upset about being asked to leave the club, drove recklessly while firing a gun from her vehicle. This reckless behavior led to injuries among pedestrians—one suffering a broken foot and another having their car struck by gunfire.
Following the incident, Miller fled the scene in a white Kia Soul but was apprehended on March 26. She has since been booked into the Al Cannon Detention Center, where she received a $50,000 bond for each of her three charges.
The North Charleston Police Department continues to investigate the incident and gather more information from witnesses and evidence collected at the scene.
