Nashville man found in possession of handgun stolen in Florida, police say

A Nashville man has been arrested in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, after police discovered he was in possession of a stolen handgun. According to the Mt. Juliet Police Department (MJPD), the suspect was pulled over for a window tint violation on Mt. Juliet Road near I-40 on Saturday afternoon.

Upon stopping the vehicle, officers noticed the suspect was wearing a full ski mask. Further investigation revealed that the handgun found in the car had been reported stolen during a home burglary in Santa Rosa, Florida, in 2017.

The man was subsequently taken into custody and booked into the Wilson County Jail on charges related to possession of the stolen firearm.

MJPD expressed pride in the proactive measures taken by their officers, emphasizing their commitment to keeping the community safe and preventing criminal activity. They noted that the actions taken might have helped avert further crime in the area.
