Authorities in Alameda County have arrested a man and recovered thousands of dollars worth of stolen Lego sets following a burglary at Crush Comics, a comic book store in Castro Valley, last week. The incident took place around 3 a.m. on March 22 when two suspects broke into the store and stole merchandise, as captured by surveillance footage.

The comic book store later posted on Facebook about the theft, mentioning that the burglars had taken their Wall Books at a discounted price and urged anyone who recognized the suspects to come forward. In response, the property's crime unit at the Eden Township Substation initiated an investigation that led to the identification of one suspect.

29-year-old Noorullah Amiri of Livermore was arrested on Thursday with the assistance of the Gang Suppression Unit and Street Crimes Unit. A search of his home uncovered a substantial amount of stolen items, including nearly 200 boxes of Lego sets, comic books, and action figures.

In a related case, a victim from another Bay Area city had reported a burglary on Wednesday, claiming $10,000 worth of Lego sets had been taken. Fortunately, the sheriff's office confirmed that most of the stolen sets were found in Amiri’s possession and returned to the victim.

The sheriff's office praised the efforts of the Property Crime Unit at Eden Township Substation, commending their diligence in the investigation and arrest. They have not yet revealed details about the second suspect involved in the burglary.
