Bicyclist dead after being struck by 2 vehicles

PHOENIX -- A tragic incident occurred in the West Valley on Friday night when a female bicyclist was struck and killed by two vehicles. The Phoenix Police Department reported that one suspect remains at large following the incident.
Police responded around 11:15 p.m. to 91st Avenue and Highland Avenue, where they found the unidentified woman lying in the road. Despite efforts to resuscitate her, officers determined that she had succumbed to her injuries.
Both vehicles involved in the collision fled the scene prior to police arrival. However, shortly after the incident, authorities received a call from one of the drivers who admitted to being involved. This adult female driver was subsequently located and arrested.
Investigations revealed that the detained driver exhibited signs of impairment. After providing a blood sample, she was released while awaiting the results, which will inform any potential charges against her.
