Car mechanic in critical condition after being hit multiple times in north Houston shooting

A mobile car mechanic in north Houston is in critical condition after sustaining multiple gunshot wounds to the head. The incident occurred around 11:15 a.m. on the 1900 block of Eubanks Street, where the mechanic was waiting to pick up someone.

According to police, the mechanic was parked in a white SUV belonging to Ace Mobile Mechanics when a suspect drove up and opened fire without warning. The attack resulted in significant damage to the vehicle, with multiple shots hitting the windshield and a rear window, while the driver's side window shattered.
