A 22-year-old man, Kaden Scott Lemmon, has been charged with sexually abusing two children at an in-house daycare in Sunset, Davis County. The charges include two counts of aggravated sexual abuse of a child, one count of sexual abuse of a child, and two counts of obstructing justice. These allegations stem from incidents reported between March 2021 and January 2023.

Allegations surfaced when two children expressed to adults that they no longer wanted to attend the daycare. A parent of one of the victims noted unusual behavior in the child, prompting a police investigation. Subsequently, the children, both under the age of 14, were interviewed at a Children's Justice Center, where they revealed instances of sexual abuse by Lemmon.

According to court documents, the children described disturbing elements in Lemmon’s bedroom, including masks of fictional serial killers like Jason and Michael Myers. His Instagram account also features a video showing a large collection of similar masks and helmets, which raised further concerns.

It's reported that Lemmon used threats to manipulate the children, implying they needed to comply with his demands to avoid repercussions, such as informing their mother or discontinuing babysitting services. This pattern of intimidation contributed to the children’s reluctance to attend the daycare.

Currently, Lemmon has not been arrested and remains out of police custody, with only a proposed summons filed against him. No initial court appearance has been scheduled in the 2nd District Court as investigations continue.
