HPD: Man shot while sitting inside his vehicle on the side of the street in northeast Houston

A man is currently in critical condition following a shooting that occurred while he was in his vehicle on a roadside in northeast Houston on Saturday. The incident took place on Eubanks Street near East Crosstimbers Street, where law enforcement responded to reports of a drive-by shooting.
According to the Houston Police Department (HPD), a white SUV approached the victim's vehicle, and a suspect exited the SUV to open fire, resulting in multiple shots being fired. The victim's mobile mechanic vehicle was left with at least five visible bullet holes.
After the shooting, the suspect fled the scene heading west on Eubanks Street. The victim, a man believed to be in his 30s, sustained at least one gunshot wound to the head and was transported to a hospital, where he remains in critical condition. His identity has not yet been disclosed.
