Road rage incident on Michigan freeway leads to reported shooting

Police in Detroit are investigating a possible shooting that allegedly stemmed from a road rage incident on Saturday, March 29. The incident occurred around 11:40 p.m. on I-94, near Conner, when a driver reported that a silver Jeep Grand Cherokee abruptly braked in front of his vehicle before speeding away.
According to the state police report shared on social media, the caller observed the Jeep parked on the shoulder when he heard three gunshots and saw muzzle flashes as he drove past. Despite an area search conducted by troopers, no evidence was recovered at the scene.
The caller's vehicle was found to have one bullet hole, but fortunately, he was not injured during the incident. First Lt. Mike Shaw of the state police emphasized the senselessness of such altercations, stating, "It is only driving. There is no reason to get involved in arguments with other drivers, let alone use a gun in that argument."
Authorities are requesting that any witnesses to the road rage incident come forward with information. Individuals can contact the state police tip line or Crime Stoppers to assist with the investigation.
As the investigation continues, police urge drivers to remain calm and avoid confrontations on the road to prevent similar situations from escalating into violence.
