Saratoga County man faces charges for menacing, weapon possession in Wilton incident

A Greenfield man was arrested on Friday night in Wilton for allegedly possessing a firearm illegally. Matthew Snowball, 48, is accused of having the weapon with the intent to use it against another individual to instill fear or cause harm.
The Saratoga County Sheriff reported that the incident took place at 5:08 PM on Jones Road. Snowball's actions reportedly involved displaying the weapon with threatening intentions towards another person.
As a result of the incident, Snowball faces charges of criminal possession of a weapon in the 4th degree and menacing in the 2nd degree. Both charges are classified as Class A misdemeanors.
Following his arrest, Snowball was arraigned in Wilton Town Court. He is currently being held in Saratoga County Jail pending further legal proceedings.
