Detectives are seeking information on suspect's identity after nightclub car theft

BATON ROUGE -- The Baton Rouge Police Department is seeking assistance from the public in identifying a man involved in a car theft that occurred outside a nightclub on Saturday night.

According to detectives, the suspect allegedly stole a woman's purse while she was inside the establishment, then proceeded to take her car keys. He subsequently drove away in a white 2016 Kia Soul.

In addition to the theft of the vehicle, authorities noted that the suspect attempted to use the victim's credit cards at a nearby convenience store.

Police are urging anyone with information regarding the man's identity to come forward.
