Two shot to death in Seattle nightclub parking lot, suspect on the run

Two individuals were shot and killed in a nightclub parking lot in Seattle’s Rainier Beach neighborhood early Sunday morning, leading to an investigation into the double homicide. The Seattle Police Department responded to reports of the shooting at approximately 3:30 a.m. in the 9200 block of Rainier Ave. S.
Upon their arrival, officers encountered a security guard with multiple gunshot wounds and provided immediate medical assistance. During their efforts, they discovered another victim, a young man who had suffered a gunshot wound to the head. Tragically, the Seattle Fire Department pronounced him dead at the scene.
The injured security guard was transported to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition but later succumbed to his injuries. The police secured the area to allow detectives from various units, including Video, Homicide, and Crime Scene Investigation, to process the evidence.
At this time, the suspect or suspects involved in the shooting fled the scene prior to police arrival, and the circumstances surrounding the incident are still under investigation. The Homicide Unit is leading the case, seeking to piece together what happened.
