Two shot to death in Seattle nightclub parking lot, suspect on the run

SEATTLE -- A double homicide investigation is underway following a shooting in the parking lot of a nightclub in Seattle's Rainier Beach neighborhood early Sunday morning, where two individuals lost their lives. Seattle Police received reports of the shooting at approximately 3:30 a.m. in the 9200 block of Rainier Ave. S.
Upon their arrival, officers discovered a security guard who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. As they provided medical assistance, they located another victim, a young man, who had been shot in the head. The Seattle Fire Department declared the second victim dead at the scene.
The injured security guard was transported to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition but later passed away from his injuries. Authorities have cordoned off the area, and investigators from the Video, Homicide, and Crime Scene Investigation Units are actively processing the scene for evidence.
The shooter or shooters fled the scene prior to the police's arrival, and the circumstances leading up to the incident remain unclear. Detectives from the Homicide Unit are taking charge of the investigation.
