Two shot to death in Seattle nightclub parking lot, suspect on the run

SEATTLE -- A double homicide investigation is underway following a shooting in a nightclub parking lot in Seattle's Rainier Beach neighborhood early Sunday morning. The incident occurred around 3:30 a.m. on the 9200 block of Rainier Ave. S, prompting a response from the Seattle Police Department.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a security guard with multiple gunshot wounds and immediately began providing medical assistance. During their efforts, they located another victim who had been shot in the head. Tragically, the Seattle Fire Department pronounced this young man dead at the scene.
The injured security guard was transported to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition but later succumbed to his injuries. This tragic loss has heightened the urgency for an investigation as police cordoned off the area to gather evidence.
Detectives from various units, including Homicide and Crime Scene Investigation, are actively processing the scene. Authorities confirmed that the suspect or suspects fled the scene prior to the police's arrival, leaving unanswered questions regarding the events leading up to the shooting.
