Two shot to death in Seattle nightclub parking lot, suspect on the run

Two individuals were shot and killed in the parking lot of a nightclub in Seattle's Rainier Beach neighborhood early Sunday morning, prompting a double homicide investigation. Police received reports of the shooting around 3:30 a.m. and responded to the scene in the 9200 block of Rainier Ave. S.

Upon arrival, officers encountered a security guard who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. While rendering aid, they discovered a second victim, a young man, who had suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head. Emergency services pronounced the young man dead at the scene.

The injured security guard was transported to Harborview Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The loss of both individuals is a tragic event for the community.
