The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office executed a significant retail theft mission on Thursday, leading to the arrest of 25 individuals and the recovery of $4,700 in stolen merchandise. The operation primarily targeted retail locations at the Clackamas Promenade, situated on SE Sunnyside Road near Clackamas Town Center, including popular stores like Target, Old Navy, Kohl's, and Nordstrom's Rack.

Among those apprehended was a juvenile who was found in possession of a handgun during their arrest related to theft. Authorities also uncovered details pertaining to an active fencing operation, with one suspect admitting to stealing items for resale. Furthermore, a suspect known for organized retail theft was captured while having outstanding warrants; this individual was already connected to a sizable theft that occurred earlier that day at Washington Square Mall in Tigard.

In addition to the arrests, a woman was taken into custody for driving under the influence of intoxicants after stealing from Target and subsequently attempting to return to her vehicle, where law enforcement conducted a traffic stop.

The mission was a collaborative effort that included various law enforcement agencies, namely the Molalla Police Department, Oregon City Police Department, Portland Police Bureau, and West Linn Police Department, showcasing a unified approach to tackling retail crime in the area.

This operation underscores the ongoing efforts of local law enforcement to combat retail theft and enhance public safety, as they continue monitoring and responding to criminal activities in retail spaces.
