Two shot to death in Seattle nightclub parking lot, suspect on the run

Two individuals were shot and killed in the parking lot of a Seattle nightclub early Sunday morning, prompting a double homicide investigation. The incident occurred in the Rainier Beach neighborhood around 3:30 a.m., when Seattle Police received reports of gunfire in the 9200 block of Rainier Ave. S.

Upon arrival, officers encountered a security guard who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. While attending to the guard, they discovered a second victim, a young man who had been shot in the head. The Seattle Fire Department later pronounced him dead at the scene.

The injured security guard was transported to Harborview Medical Center, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries and was also pronounced dead. Police quickly cordoned off the area to begin their investigation, involving multiple units, including Video, Homicide, and Crime Scene Investigation.

As of now, the suspect or suspects involved have fled the scene, and the circumstances leading up to the shooting are still under scrutiny. Detectives from the Homicide Unit are actively pursuing leads in the case.
