Suspect arrested after crashing into house, attempting to leave scene, deputies say

A suspect has been arrested in Livingston Parish after crashing into a home and trying to flee the scene early Sunday morning, March 30. The incident occurred around 2 a.m. on Pleasant Knoll Drive, as reported by the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office.

The suspect, identified as 38-year-old Jack Darren, faces multiple charges including hit and run, resisting an officer, driving with a suspended license, possession of marijuana, and operating a vehicle while intoxicated. His actions not only resulted in damage to the home but also involved striking a mailbox and a light pole.

Deputies quickly apprehended Darren following the accident. He was subsequently booked into the Livingston Parish Jail, where he awaits further legal proceedings.
