18-year-old killed after shooting in Southeast DC, police say

An 18-year-old man was tragically killed in Southeast D.C. on Saturday night, as confirmed by the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD). The shooting occurred around 11 p.m. in the 3300 block of 10th Place, where officers arrived to find the victim unresponsive and suffering from a critical gunshot wound.
Emergency medical services quickly transported the victim to a local hospital in hopes of saving his life. However, despite the efforts of medical personnel, he was pronounced dead upon arrival. The deceased has been identified as Jose Walters, a resident of Southeast D.C.
