Suspect allegedly runs car into Livingston home, attempts to flee the scene, deputies say

LIVINGSTON -- A suspect was arrested after reportedly crashing a car into a residence and attempting to flee the scene, according to the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office. The incident took place on March 30 at approximately 2 a.m. at a home located on Pleasant Knoll Drive.

Authorities identified the driver as 38-year-old Jack Darren. In addition to crashing into the house, Darren allegedly struck a mailbox and a light post during the incident.

Following the crash, deputies apprehended Darren and placed him under arrest. He was subsequently booked into the Livingston Parish Jail.

Darren faces multiple charges, including hit and run, resisting an officer, driving under suspension, failure to maintain insurance, possession of marijuana, and operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
