Three juveniles are facing charges following a series of fights that erupted at the Fashion Centre at Pentagon City, leading to the mall's evacuation, according to the Arlington County Police Department (ACPD). The identities of the suspects, who are not publicly named due to their ages, have been withheld.

The incidents occurred on Saturday evening around 7 p.m. when police were called to the shopping center on S. Hayes Street amid reports of violence in the food court. Upon arrival, officers encountered a large and unruly crowd, necessitating the request for additional personnel to manage the situation. Ultimately, the decision was made to evacuate the mall for the safety of patrons and officers.

One of the suspects, a 13-year-old girl, reportedly ignored police commands and resisted arrest, leading to physical confrontation before she was taken into custody. A 15-year-old girl was also detained for attacking a store employee, an officer, and mall security. Meanwhile, a 14-year-old boy was arrested for assaulting an officer as well, and a knife was found during the apprehension.

Minor injuries were reported from the confrontations involving responding officers, mall security, and the store employee, with the two girls receiving treatment for their injuries. Despite the chaos, the mall reopened as planned on Sunday, and increased police patrols were instituted in the area as the investigation continues.

Authorities have urged anyone with information about the events to contact the Arlington County Police Department's Tip Line. Tips can be made anonymously through various channels, including the Arlington County Crime Solvers hotline.
