Man wanted for 'serious and violent' charges arrested in South Carolina

CHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WBTV) - The Chester County Sheriff's Office has arrested Laurkeia Montgomery, a man wanted for multiple serious and violent criminal charges. He was apprehended based on outstanding warrants from three different law enforcement agencies.
Montgomery faced serious accusations, including weapons violations from the U.S. Marshals Service, criminal sexual conduct in the third degree charged by the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office, and second-degree assault and battery from the Lancaster Police Department.
To evade capture, Montgomery attempted to mislead deputies by providing fake identification. However, this tactic did not prevent his arrest, during which deputies discovered illegal drugs, including cocaine, ecstasy, and THC wax.
In addition to the outstanding charges, Montgomery now faces new charges for providing false information to law enforcement. Further charges related to the suspected illegal drugs are expected to follow.
This arrest underscores the collaborative efforts of local law enforcement agencies in tackling serious crimes and ensuring public safety in Chester County.
