Staten Island man fatally shot in broad daylight on Bay Street, gunman on the loose

A 25-year-old man was shot and killed on Friday afternoon in front of a building on Bay Street in Staten Island, triggering a police investigation. Authorities received a 911 call around 2:31 p.m. reporting the incident outside 155 Bay Street, located in the 120th Precinct.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found Jesse Pimental, who lived on 245 Corona Avenue, unconscious with a gunshot wound to his torso. Emergency Medical Services transported him to Richmond University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

As of now, no arrests have been made, and police have not released any information regarding possible motives or suspects involved in the shooting. The investigation is ongoing.
