A 25-year-old man was shot and killed on Friday afternoon in front of a building on Bay Street in Staten Island, triggering a police investigation. Authorities received a 911 call around 2:31 p.m. reporting the incident outside 155 Bay Street, located in the 120th Precinct.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found Jesse Pimental, who lived on 245 Corona Avenue, unconscious with a gunshot wound to his torso. Emergency Medical Services transported him to Richmond University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
