TN man accused of setting market on fire with people inside

PALMER, Tenn. (WSMV) - A man has been arrested and faces multiple charges, including arson, following a fire at the Palmer Market in Grundy County. The incident occurred on Saturday while the store was still open and customers were present.
The investigation was initiated after Fire Chief Jared Meeks alerted the Grundy County Sheriff's Office about the suspicious fire. Authorities soon identified Nicholas Callahan as the suspect, who allegedly set the fire and fled the scene on a bicycle.
Callahan was apprehended shortly after the incident. Alongside aggravated arson, he is also charged with aggravated vandalism and criminal trespassing, among other offenses.
As the investigation continues, more details regarding the incident and any potential injuries have not yet been released.
The Grundy County Sheriff's Office is actively pursuing the case to gather more information and ensure accountability.
