A Hephzibah woman, Ashlee Nicole Jackson, 27, was arrested on Friday for allegedly firing a gun into a hotel room occupied by three individuals. She faces three counts of aggravated assault following the incident at Quality Inn Augusta West, located at 4073 Jimmie Dyess Parkway.

Reports indicate that Jackson discharged a firearm once, shooting through the wall of the hotel and into the guest room. The bullet became lodged in the back wall of the room, but fortunately, no injuries were reported.

At the time of her arrest, Jackson was employed at the Comfort Inn & Suites situated next door. The circumstances surrounding her motives for the shooting have not been disclosed.

Following her arrest, Jackson was taken to the Columbia County Detention Center, where she remained incarcerated on Saturday night. Her bond has been set at $75,300.
