A 29-year-old man from West Springfield, Balil Griffith, is facing serious criminal charges, including manslaughter, after a tragic crash on Interstate 91 early Friday morning resulted in the deaths of three construction workers. Griffith was arraigned in Springfield District Court on three counts of manslaughter and an additional charge for leaving the scene of an accident that caused personal injury and death. He is currently being held on $1 million cash bail.

The victims have been identified as Igor Costa, 26, from Marlborough; Ryan Almeida, 48, from Brockton; and Raul Bohorquez, 57, also from Brockton.
