KSP investigating deadly hit-and-run on I-64

ASHLAND, Ky. (LEX 18) -- The Kentucky State Police (KSP) are investigating a fatal hit-and-run that took place on Interstate 64 on Saturday night around 9:25 p.m. The incident occurred near mile marker 185, prompting a response from the KSP after a request for assistance from the Boyd County Sheriff's Office.
Upon arrival, KSP troopers discovered 78-year-old Hubert E. Mosby deceased on the roadside next to his vehicle. Preliminary investigations revealed that Mosby had been working on his car when he was struck by an unidentified vehicle, which then fled the scene.
This tragic accident has raised significant concerns, and investigators are actively working to gather more information regarding the vehicle and driver involved.
